The ruff is made from the same triple layer, laminated, waterproof, windproof, and moisture-vapor permeable nylon as the ECWCS parka and trousers. The ruff incorporates the synthetic fur material on the side facing the face and hook and pile, and male snap fasteners on the opposite side, opposite end. The fasteners allow this item to be attached to the parka. The parka ruff has a soft wire sewn into the front edge so the ruff may be formed by hand to eliminate heat loss and to keep snow and wind off the wearer's face. These ruffs are 35" long x 6 1/2" wide with 8 velcro patches and 9 snaps 3 5/16" apart Unissued in Brand new condition with original tag.
